For this article in Vice Netherlands, I photographed Australian doctor Philip Nitchke, also known as “Dr. Death,” who advocates for euthanasia as a basic human right. Founder of Exit International, he developed the Sarco, a 3D-printable suicide pod for a peaceful, autonomous death. Once focused on terminal illness, he now believes any mentally competent adult should have this choice. His work remains highly controversial, sparking debates on ethics and autonomy.
